Happy Hopping!  Good luck!
Whenever new stamps from Suzanne arrive, I can't wait to see which ones will fit on ATC's,
 my preferred card platform.
All four of the latest release are ATC perfect!

Three of the new stamps are featured below.

All the cards are from my
Off my Desk series,
which means I only use stuff found on my desk at the end of the day.

Sentiment was stamped with VersaFine Onyx, heat embossed clear and using the MISTI the outer frame was overstamped with VersaMark and Ranger superfine silver embossing powder.
The Snow is from the
Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas set and I added some DecoArts Snowwriter.
It's hard not to get carried away with this stuff!
Christmas is the day

Relax is a Silhouette cut file sketched with glitter pens.

Stamping on water color paper that was used as a practice pad and brush wipe sheet, I used the MISTI tool so I could re-stamp to get a good impression to heat emboss, VersaFine Onyx and clear embossing powder.
The top one I used too much ink and it bled a bit.
Sometimes less is more!
Bottom card eggplant embossing powder over Onyx.

Love this cut file!

The back,
stamped with VersaFine Sepia and Ranger superfine copper embossing powder.
Flecks were intentional, and after much deliberation decided not to hide the brad, after covering it with embossing powder.
If I could only have one stamp pad, it might be VersaFine Sepia!
Masking the stamp before inking.

Another sketched cut file.
The back.

Theses cards are all from my
Off my Desk series,
which means I only use stuff found on my desk at the end of the day.

Did you make some cards today? Share them!
and
Be sure to leave a comment below and on each Design Team Blog for prizes!

WOYWW 365...Too busy to remember...Thoughts on Fathers Day...

If you have just come to see my desk, thanks for visiting.
I have not heard from either Desker- fore or aft- about swapping. Please get in touch.

If you have the time, I invite you to scroll down for some backstory on my latest post on
the new blog, highlighting Quietfire Design digital files.
{lots of new stamps too!}

If you are too busy to (fill in the blank), you are too busy.

I could fill in the blank with lots of things, and as all my parents are in Heaven, I tend to let Mothers and Fathers Day go by without much attention.

This card is what I call a 15 Minute Wonder, and aside from design time and gathering supplies, it can be made in 15 minutes!
{Sure, go ahead and CASE- jus give me credit and share it back with me!}

Surely you have enough time for that!

Construction and supply details over at

We say," If it wasn't for sports, the men in our family wouldn't have any emotional life at all!"

Making the time to create, I had a mental trip down memory lane of times with my Dads, and decided to make this card, as my style of scrap book, get my family together and tell and  record stories of Dads and days gone by.

My most FAQ, is "How long does it take to make that?" which is why I enjoy sharing my
15 minute wonders.

The value of time spent is measured in many ways.
I'll have this paper keepsake, the laughs, tears and hugs shared with my family, the value of continuing memory carried in my heart and mind.

I have time for that!

Thanks again for visiting. Y'all come back now, hear!

New Quietfire Design Stamps! Just living is not enough/ The greatest strength is gentleness

It's really hard to stay in creative doldrums as a member of the Quietfire Design family,
especially when the new quote stamps fit on an ATC!

The background is an all over print stamped in Distress antique linen.

is stamped in VersaFine sepia and heat embossed with
Ranger Superfine clear embossing powder.
The flowers are hand sketched with a Distress antique linen marker and colored with tattered rose, victorian velvet, mowed lawn and peeled paint.
The mini pads are good for getting the ink onto your craft sheet. They are very juicy, and just a tad of water is needed to get the right consistency for painting, using a #4 round brush.
I highly recommend Cheap Joe's golden fleece brushes. They are very inexpensive so you can buy enough to use a separate brush for each color and medium that you use.
The edge is gold watercolor with an 1/8th flat brush.

This ATC is one of a series, so I took a short cut and stamped the sunflower in VersaMark and heat embossed clear.
The background was applied pad to paper, Distress salty ocean and the areas close to the flower were applied with a felt marker replacement nib.
Painting done with  #4 round brush and Distress mowed lawn, peeled paint, squeezed lemonade and mustard seed.
Water was flicked on with a brush.
When completely dry, iron the card between two pieces of clean absorbent paper to remove the embossing.
This is needed for the stamping to take to the paper.

is stamped in VersaFine onyx and thermal embossed clear.
The edge is sponged on Delicata Golden Glitz.

This is #1 in the series

and a Brave Girl Card

on the back

A few more ATC's using digital files and DecoArt products.
The mineral based watercolor paint resisted the oil based VersaFine ink. It still embossed well, so there is some mystery to be explored!

Celtic knot work file using a gold gel pen.
