WOYWW February 25-Counting Sheep!

Last week it was bunnies, and you can see they have multiplied as bunnies do!
This is just a dummy cut from scrap-are you getting  inspired?

This week it's little lambs!
See how Suzanne has cleverly herded them into a heart!
This sweetie says it all!
a pop up card!
also just cut out of scrap.
I'm just showing you what is on the desk!

Please scroll down and come back often to see what happens next!

You can find the digital cut files here.
Finally getting around to Chemistry 102. I'm starting to get the layered stencil thing, and I can cut them with my Cameo! ( are you sensing a theme?)
On a personal note, I just came back from the Women's Prison where I am starting a meditation group.
Please hold that in the Light.

Spring Cleaning!

High 60'sF and sunny today!

Spring cleaning iPhoto and found a few cards that haven't made it  into any other post!

The white potted hyacinth inspired this bookmark using both digital files and rubber stamps from Quietfire Design and an original stamp carved by me!

The book mark is cut with a touch of a button with my digital cutter -you know you want one-what are you waiting for?-
and the Bookmarks-quotemarks file from the Silhouette Store.
The matching rubber stamp from the Friendship QuoteMarks collection was stamped in VersaFine purple and thermal embossed clear.

The loaf of bread  stamp was cut using speedball carving tools out of soft cut material, stamped with VersaFine Sepia and thermal embossed clear.

The background was various Distress inks pounced on through a doily, or you could use a stencil. The gift stamp was an after thought- Give yourself a gift!

The hyacinth was colored with watercolor and edged in a silver pen.

I've been asked to change the format of these posts, to less chatty and more bulleted lists and step by step photos.

If you have thoughts on that leave me a comment please.

This little guy stole my heart!

As soon as Suzanne sent me the file, I stopped what I was doing and cut away.
Finally, something to do with those jars of flock!
and you will also want to get the Bunny Easel Card with Carrots! you can see a preview of below here.

WOYWW February 18/Beta Testing-Somebody has to do it!

If you have a digital cutter and can resist this bunny easel card, we will probably not be BFF's!

All kidding aside, if you don't have a cutter- and no one is paying me to say this- once you get one- and make sure you can connect it to your computer and use SVG files, then all you do is DL this file, coming soon to the Silhouette Store for 99 cents for heavens sake, then push the button and you have a card, and a bunch of bunnies and a garden full of carrots.
 Exaggerating only a little!
The Some Bunny loves you (off to the right) is available now. Gives you something to do with that pink flock you have lying around!
Behind are some of the valentines I received, to the left  is my goodie basket from Scrapbook Adhesives for an upcoming blog hop with Quietfire Design, and lots of other cards and bookmarks you will hear and see more about if you visit me on another day!

Joyfully, what is NOT on my desk are the rolodex cards for the Byhand exchange. They are done  and ready to be swapped out! Look for them in March-no spoilers here!
Also NOT is the Cyberscribes Sweet heart exchange and you can scroll down to see them.
Thanks to all who came by for the Queen of Hearts Hop- also below.

Thanks for visiting, I do hope you will show me what's on your desk!

Cyberscribes Sweetheart Exchange 2014

I love my Cameo!
Push the button and voila! bookmarks and embellishments for all!
The scrap of paper left was even too small for me to save!
You can find these Bookmark-Quotemark files, by Suzanne Cannon of Quietfire Design in the Silhouette Store.

The digital cut files have matching Quietfire Design rubber stamps. this is the Friendship set  of 7 stamps. The rose flourished heart from the Valentine/Love set of 8 stamps, on the back.

The cut out heart was also stamped with the flourished heart to make a dimensional embellishment with some Judikins Diamond Glaze.

The xoxo background is a stamp from Calligraphic Love Bits set of 8

I only used  three stamp pads! VersaFine Crimson, Distress Linen and Festive Berries.
The top hearts are Glitter Ritzed and misc glitter and glitter pen added here and there.

The lettering was drawn with a mixture of Cameo sketch pens and hand work.
They are still in my possession so more embellishment could take place!

These bookmarks and envies are sent out all over the globe , in this case to 10 folks and I get 10 back! How fun is this! Very!

Now for some details.
The joy of my life the past two years has been living close to my DD. The little princess has truly become the Queen of my heart!.
DD plays in clay at the Squeaky Wheel  Potters Studio, a ceramic cooperative in the Rive Arts District of Asheville , NC.
I wanted to show you the versatility of our deeply etched rubber stamps, so  I gave DD the naked rubber{Calligraphic Love Bits }, we collab-ed on size and shape, and she created this earring and neckpiece collection from porcelain clay, bisque and unglazed, fired to cone 6.
You can use your stamps with any clay medium:
air dry, paper clay, polymer clay, even salt dough!
Protect your stamp with VersaMark before you  roll or push it into the clay, and wash it well immediately after use.

While I was waiting for the firing, I created a jewelry roll to hold the set.

Prepare your fabric by washing in the hottest water and strongest detergent your fabric can tolerate to remove all dirt and oils.
Hard press with the hottest temp the fabric can stand and pin the fabric to a padded surface, like and ironing board, or towels on a table or floor.
Arrange the stamps{Flourished Heart,Calligraphic Love Bits} on a stamp press, or large block and make some samples till you find the pattern you like.

I experimented with lots of different ink, and used VersaFine Crimson for the final fabric. I heat set the ink by ironing on the back side of the fabric, and ran it through 3 hot wash cycles as a test.

This is a vintage linen from my stash, and the ribbon is May Arts, with the hearts colored in with inks and a fine brush.
I found these quilted hearts on the 'free' table at a Fiber Arts Alliance meeting!

This set will make a wonderful gift for any occasion . I have a birthday coming up in mind! Watch your mailbox!

REMEMBER
Leave a comment here, enjoy the rest of the hop and leave a comment on each blog and be sure to join in the QUEEN of HEARTS CHALLENGE on the 14th!
I'm looking forward to your creations!

Love- The Challenge!

It's hard for me to resist a challenge.

Queen Suzanne of Quietfire sent me to the Card Maker Tuesday Challenge:

“For those of us who have put off making a Valentine’s Day card for that special person, let’s do something easy and quick. Here’s the recipe: one paper, one heart (hand-cut, die-cut, sticker, etc.), one word sentiment, and one embellishment of your choice for your one true love.”

So I set the 15 minute timer for another 15 minute wonder.

Remember, the Queen of Hearts Blog Hop and Challenge is in full swing, so hop on over and see what you missed and be sure to stop by here tomorrow to see my love inspired projects.

One of my kids said this to me, when they were a young teen, and when I saw this cartoon in

Marco's and me in Lawrenceville

Greg is behind the camera!
Last weekend I had the  pleasure of working once again with Greg, from Marco's Paper, at an Heirloom Productions Stamp and Scrap show, in Lawrenceville, just north of Atlanta. We dodged the frozen bullet, by days, as Tuesday Atlanta was gridlocked in Snowmaggedon!

The show was very busy! Everyone wants to see something new, and I demoed the Mini Perfect Layers and the Spritzer, and lots of Spellbinders tips and tricks.

These lovely ladies teach 5th grade. Lucky Students! Lots of die cutting in their future!

The Heartfelt  folks put their power where their handle was...
Thanks everyone for coming out to see me and Marco's. We couldn't do it without you!

Comments and Questions Welcomed.
